Wingedfoot is an iPhone app made by Soundside Design LLC ("we"). It is the companion to a Wingedfoot appliance — a computer your home or business owns and operates. Soundside Design does not operate a conversation backend and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK.
When you use Wingedfoot, your voice audio, text messages, attachments, and conversation history are transmitted to your own appliance — the server at the address configured in the app by you or your administrator — over an encrypted connection. That machine belongs to you or your organization, not to us. Durable conversation history, agent memory, and member settings are stored there.
Your appliance may use AI-model and text-to-speech providers configured by whoever operates it. Those providers may receive prompt and response text needed to answer you or synthesize speech, and handle it under their own terms and privacy policies. Speech recognition runs on the appliance by default. Ask your operator which providers are enabled before discussing sensitive information.
The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code, and Soundside Design operates no server that stores your conversations or audio. The public edge can observe normal connection metadata such as time, source address, and traffic volume, but it forwards end-to-end encrypted application traffic and does not store conversation content.
If your appliance is reached through the wingedfoot.ai relay while you are away from it, the relay forwards encrypted traffic it cannot read and stores no conversation content.
If you install Wingedfoot through TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may provide us with crash reports and, in TestFlight, feedback you choose to send, under Apple's own privacy terms. These contain no conversation content unless you type it into a feedback message yourself.
The app keeps its settings on your device (server address and portrait choice in app storage; access key in the iOS Keychain). A custom avatar photo stays on that phone in the current version. Deleting the app deletes those local items. Conversation history and agent memory live on your appliance, not on our infrastructure — removing them is done there.
Whoever operates the appliance controls it and its backups, and may have system-administrator access to data stored on it. Wingedfoot's normal admin screens manage devices and service health and do not display conversation text, memories, photos, or files. That UI boundary does not prevent a person with administrator access to the computer from accessing its storage.
Wingedfoot is a general all-ages companion for a home or business appliance, not a service directed primarily to children. A parent or guardian decides whether a minor may use a member account and which providers and tools it can reach. The assistant is not an emergency, medical, or monitoring service. The current minor starter persona supplies age-appropriate behavioral guidance, but it is not a technical parental-control or guaranteed content-filtering system.
If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above, this policy will change with it and the effective date will move.
